Coarse wood thread / Torx drive

Wood screws by box, matched to the timber.

Coarse-thread construction screws with a Torx drive and corrosion-resistant coating, for store buyers and site supply enquiries. Jorkli in Austin, Texas serves United States buyers who need the timber and exposure checked alongside the size.

Enquiry basis: per box, confirmed on enquiry.Diameter, length, coating requirement, pack count and total quantity determine the USD quotation basis. No amount on this page is a binding quote. Availability and lead time require confirmation.

Wood-screw specification record

The specification goes further than length.

This table separates the stated catalogue construction from details that need confirmation. It is a buying record, not a range of invented stock sizes or a structural design table.

Wood screws by box: stated properties and confirmation points
PropertyCatalogue lineWhat to confirm for your timber
Thread formCoarse-thread construction screwSuitability for the timber or board and the required connection; thread length and shank arrangement.
DriveTorx recessExact bit designation for the selected screw. A matching drive family does not mean every bit size fits.
CoatingCorrosion-resistant coatingIdentified coating system and compatibility with timber treatment, contact hardware and exposure.
Screw materialCoated construction fastener; alloy grade not statedMaterial specification from the proposed product. Do not treat the coating description as stainless construction.
Diameter and lengthSelected against the request, not a published stocked rangeRequired dimensions with units, head style and length measurement convention.
Connection thicknessFor stated timber useThickness of the piece being fixed, intervening layers and required engagement in the receiving member.
Pilot and edge conditionsInstallation requirements depend on the selected screw and timberManufacturer guidance for pilot hole, spacing and distance from an edge or end.
Buying unitEnquiry basis per boxExact count in each box, requested boxes and whether every size uses the same pack count.
Read the units

A length without a unit is incomplete. Keep inch and metric designations explicit, and use the selected screw's dimension convention. A nominal timber size also differs from the measured assembly thickness; report the dimension that the fixing actually crosses.

Timber compatibility

The wood changes the fastening question.

Species, density and treatment can change both installation behavior and corrosion requirements. “For wood” is the start of the description, not its limit.

Solid timber and dry interiors

For a dry interior assembly, describe the timber and the thickness of each member. The screw must pass through the attached piece and engage the receiving member as required by the connection. Overall length alone does not establish the effective embedment.

Hard or brittle timber can split near an edge or end. Pilot-hole guidance depends on the selected screw and wood; this catalogue does not apply one drill diameter or edge distance to every situation.

Treated timber and exposed work

State the treatment system if known and describe outdoor exposure. Some timber preservatives affect metal fastener compatibility. A general corrosion-resistant description is not enough to establish suitability for that treatment.

Wet service, coastal conditions and contact with other metals can require a different material or coating. The proposed product documentation must support the use. Do not substitute on color.

Sheet products are not solid timber

Plywood, particleboard and other engineered panels can have different holding behavior, especially near edges. Name the board product and whether the screw is intended to hold in the board or pass through into a support.

Load-bearing work needs an identified screw

A coarse thread does not establish a structural load rating. If the connection specifies a particular evaluated screw or published capacity, include that reference. This general catalogue line does not authorize replacing it with an unidentified box.

Coating and drive comparison

Do not swap a material requirement for a finish.

Matching length is easy. Keeping corrosion performance and head engagement consistent requires the actual specification.

What a product description does and does not establish
DescriptionWhat it tells youWhat it does not prove
Corrosion-resistant coatingA protective coating is part of the stated screw construction.A specific corrosion class, exposure life or compatibility with all timber preservatives.
Stainless requirementThe request is for a material specification, not merely a coated appearance. That the catalogue's coated line is an acceptable equivalent or that a particular stainless grade is available.
Torx driveThe recess uses a Torx drive profile. The bit size, impact-use suitability or seating torque for an unspecified screw.
Countersunk head requirementThe intended head seating must match a particular surface or hardware detail. That every construction screw in the requested size has the same head geometry.

A change in coating, material or head type is a specification change. Ask for it to be identified in the reply rather than assuming it follows from the original request.

Prepare the timber enquiry

One clear size line beats an ambiguous box count.

For construction screws wholesale, price comparisons become useful only when the size and pack contents match. A box count without its contents can hide a different quantity of screws.

If your request covers several sizes, put each on its own line in the contact form's notes. Keep the timber and exposure information with the group it applies to. No calculator or estimated load result replaces that record.

  1. Give the connection context.State the timber or panel, treatment if known, member thicknesses and whether the application is interior or exposed. Include any specified fastener reference.
  2. List the required screw dimensions.Use the diameter and length with units. Add the head style and drive requirement. Mark an unconfirmed dimension as unconfirmed so it is checked rather than silently accepted.
  3. Put the box basis alongside the quantity.Request a screw count or number of boxes, and ask for the confirmed count per box. Separate different sizes instead of combining them into a single total.
  4. Review the reply before proceeding. After enquiry, Jorkli checks the line, compatibility, availability and lead time. Confirm any proposed differences and review the quoted supply basis, including applicable charges. Sending the enquiry does not place an order or take payment.
A useful limit

Buy a wood screw, not an assumed universal fixing.

This line is not for direct fixing into masonry or thin metal simply because the screw has a sharp point. Those supports need their own fastening choice. If the assembly uses timber against a metal bracket, describe the bracket as well; head seating and corrosion compatibility still matter.

A buyer replacing an existing screw can enquire by size and original reference. An enlarged hole or split timber changes the problem, though. Fitting a longer screw into damaged material is not automatically a repair method.

Box splitting, a particular size in stock and a dispatch date are not promised on this page. Neither is structural approval. For a load-rated connection, follow the specified product and design requirements. Product warranty conditions must be confirmed separately through the warranty information route.

Timber supply request

Ask for wood screws by box with the coating made explicit.

Tell Jorkli which timber receives the screw and which size you need. Include the total quantity and the box count you want confirmed. That is a request a buyer can compare when the reply arrives.
